Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze both deserve to be the next American Idol, and I think they both will be.

It’s no secret that the winner of American Idol isn’t always the one to have the most successful career. Ruben Studdard won, but Clay Aiken clearly has the more successful career after American Idol.

Chris Daughtry was fifth from the top to go… look at how his career took off! There are many Idol examples of this. It should give all of us Siobhan Magnus fans hope; many of us thought she would be in the top three, at least.

So tomorrow is the big American Idol finale! Who do you think will win? Lee DeWyze has the more commercial voice that probably appeals to a larger audience, but Crystal has that amazing indie, singer-songwriter vibe that many folks are clamoring for.

I’m happy with either outcome – they both seem like great people and both deserve it.
